Hochheim Kirchenstück GG

A dry Riesling from one of the most well-known vineyards of the eastern Rheingau: The Hochheim Kirchenstück GG from Künstler is clear, taut, and at the same time juicy. A wine with backbone and fine stature.

The Künstler winery is located in Hochheim am Main, at the eastern end of the Rheingau. The Kirchenstück counts as one of the Grand Cru sites there. As a Grosses Gewächs, the wine stands for the highest quality level of the house: single-varietal Riesling, dry in style.

In the cool nose, spicy yellow apple, delicate gorse blossoms, and a hint of jelly banana appear. On the palate, the wine appears lively and fresh, with a firm body and fine juicy drive. Yellow apple with peel, quince, herbs, and a creamy fruit carry the aromatics, supported by fine extract and a slightly grippy texture. The finale is long and remains spicy in the aftertaste.

Serve it at 10–12 °C in a large white wine glass. It pairs well with fried zander, sweetbreads, chicken with cream sauce, or an aged mountain cheese.
