HK Sena Valle de
Seña 2019 comes from the Aconcagua Valley — one of Chile's most ambitious wine projects, created from a collaboration between Robert Mondavi and Eduardo Chadwick. The winery is located at an altitude of 700 meters, where cool nights and intense sunlight slow down ripening and condense the aromatics.
In the glass, the 2019 shows deep purple red. The nose opens with cassis, blackberry, and violets, underneath notes of dark chocolate and a subtle spice from the barrique aging. On the palate, the tannins appear silky but with a clear structure — not a wine that forces itself, but one that takes its time. The acidity is present enough to maintain freshness, the finish long and mineral.
Serving recommendation: Now with aeration, with beef fillet, aged Manchego, or leg of lamb with herbs. Serving temperature 17–18 °C.
