Hecklingen Schlossberg Spätburgunder GG QW Baden 0.75L
The Hecklinger Schlossberg is one of the great Pinot Noir sites in Baden — and Bernhard Huber's Grosses Gewächs makes it clear why. The rare shell limestone soil of the Black Forest foothills gives the wine a mineral tension that is rarely found in this region.
The Huber winery in Malterdingen has been one of the most important addresses for German Pinot Noir for decades. Bernhard Huber's signature: precise fruit, cool spice, depth without heaviness. The Schlossberg is his centerpiece — a site that delivers elegance and structure in one go.
In the glass, the GG shows juicy cherry and dark berries, underpinned by cool herbal spice and a hint of earth. The tannins are fine and grippy, the acidity gives the wine drive and length. The finish is long, mineral, and clear.
Serve it at 16–17 °C — with venison fillet with mushrooms, roasted duck, or mature Époisses. Those drinking it pure should let the glass breathe a little.
