Hamilton Russell Vineyards

Hamilton Russell Vineyards is located in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley – a cool, sea-near valley behind the old fishing village of Hermanus, in the far south of Africa. Hardly any winery on the continent is located so far south. Here, the Hamilton Russell family has done pioneering work: they showed that South Africa can produce Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at a world-class level.

Cooling sea breezes from the Atlantic, nutrient-poor soils, and a lot of patience – that is the recipe. The result? Wines with depth and individual character that do not deny their origin.

One sip, and you know: This comes from here, from no other place in the world. The wines taste lively and precise – fresh red fruits, a bit of earth, a salty hint of the sea. Nothing too much, nothing too little. Simply harmonious.
