Grosset Polish Hill Riesling Grosset Polish Hill Riesl. 0.75L
Riesling from Australia — that sounds unusual, but it has been setting standards for decades: The Polish Hill by Jeffrey Grosset is considered one of the most precise white wines in the country, with a clarity that is more reminiscent of the Mosel than the southern hemisphere.
Grosset Wines is located in the Clare Valley Hills in South Australia, a high-altitude region known for its cool nights and calcareous soils. Jeffrey Grosset has been consistently working toward a single goal since the early 1980s: Riesling in its purest form. The Polish Hill comes from a single vineyard with slate soils — this origin directly shapes the style.
In the glass, it shows citrus peel, lime, and white peach, underpinned by a mineral core reminiscent of wet pebbles. The acidity structure is taut and precise, without sharpness — a Riesling with real backbone. The finish is long, salty, dry.
Best served at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with grilled sea bass with herbs, scallops with lemon butter, or a mature goat cheese. If you are looking for Riesling outside of Europe and do not want to make any compromises, this is the right choice for you.
