Golfers GIN-seng Elixir

The Golfers GIN-seng Elixir by Dr. Jaglas is a German gin specialty with a herbal, spicy orientation. The base is ginseng root, which gives the distillate a full-bodied bouquet and a balanced body.

This is joined by a long list of bitter herbs, barks, and roots. Gentian, centaury, cinchona bark, and galangal root provide the bitter structure, while bitter orange peel and citronella add citrus accents. Ginger, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon bark, and nutmeg contribute warmth and spice. Lavender, saffron, angelica root, zedoary root, valerian, and camphor round off the recipe, with juniper berries serving as the gin foundation.
