Geltz/Zilliken Riesling Q.b.A. dry

A dry Riesling from the Saar that begins with apricot and nectarine while remaining slender and taut. The estate wine from Forstmeister Geltz Zilliken comes from the 2021 vintage.

The winery is located in Saarburg, one of the centers of Saar Riesling. The Saar is considered a cool sub-region of the Mosel, its wines known for being delicate and characterized by lively acidity. The estate wine is the entry into the house's range and shows this style in its uncomplicated form.

On the nose, there is apricot and nectarine, interspersed with fine herbs and a hint of apple jelly. On the palate, fresh citrus aromas meet juicy fruit. The finish is long and remains clear.

We recommend it at 8–10 °C. It pairs with fried trout, green asparagus with hollandaise sauce, sushi, or mild fresh goat cheese. It works just as well solo on a summer evening on the terrace.
