Filey Bay Flagship is a Yorkshire Single Malt Whisky with 46% ABV that shows the distillery's house style without detours: clear, creamy, and fruit-forward.

Behind the whisky is Spirit of Yorkshire on the English east coast. The Flagship matures exclusively in first-fill bourbon barrels, i.e., casks filled for the first time after the bourbon. They impart plenty of vanilla and fruit to the malt without masking it.

On the nose, grapefruit and bright citrus notes meet honey, vanilla, and caramel accents. On the palate, it is velvety, lively, and full; the fruit carries through to the depth of the finish. Recommendation: neat or with a drop of water, which opens up the citrus fruit and honey a little more. The Flagship is suitable as an introduction to a tasting and as an uncomplicated dram in the evening.
