Etter Vieille Orange 40% vol Old Orange Barrique 0.35L

The Vieille Orange from Etter is an orange distillate from Switzerland that combines citrus freshness with the warmth of barrel aging. It is one of the specialties of a house known far beyond the region for its fruit brandies.

Etter Söhne AG operates its distillery in Zug, on Lake Zug, and specializes in fruit brandies. The Alte Orange matures in barriques, as the name suggests. We do not have information regarding the duration or type of barrel, so we do not mention it.

On the nose, there is orange peel and candied citrus notes, along with fine spice and a gentle trace of wood. On the palate, the brandy is round and clear: the orange remains present without becoming sweet, and it fades into a long finish. At 40% vol, it remains balanced.

Recommendation: neat at room temperature as a calm conclusion after a meal, with dark chocolate, or with an espresso. The 0.35-l bottle in the gift box is also suitable as a small gift.
