Engine Gin 0.7L

Engine Gin is an Italian gin with 42% ABV, in which juniper, sage, and lemon set the tone. It is produced by Illva Saronno exclusively from organic ingredients from a controlled supply chain.

Distillers in northwestern Italy distill it in small batches and bottle it by hand. The botanicals come from all over the country: sage and rose petals from Piedmont, lemons from Sicily, juniper from Tuscany, licorice from Calabria, plus Alpine water. The recipe is a homage to Italian sage and lemon schnapps. Instead of a glass bottle, there is a tin can with a screw cap that is reminiscent of a motor oil container.

In the glass, you can expect juniper, fresh citrus peel, and herbaceous sage, accompanied by floral rose tones and a mild sweetness of licorice. Recommendation: as a gin and tonic with lemon zest and a sage leaf, in a Negroni, or well-chilled neat.
