Eagles' Nest Constantia Reserve Sauvignon Blanc

Eagles' Nest Constantia Reserve Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc from Constantia — that's cool Cape air, Atlantic influence and a grape variety that shows its South African distinctiveness here: not the sweet richness of New Zealand, not the smoky austerity of the Loire, but both in one.
Constantia lies at the southernmost tip of the Cape Peninsula, wedged between the Atlantic Ocean and Table Mountain. The cool nights slow down ripening and preserve the acidity—which is why the region has been one of South Africa's most reliable sources for structured white wines for years. Eagles' Nest is situated on the slopes of Constantiaberg, where the vineyards combine altitude with sea breezes.
On the nose, gooseberry, lime, and freshly cut grass, followed by passion fruit and a hint of white peach. On the palate, it's juicy, with a citrus core and lively acidity that gives the wine drive and length. The finish is dry and invigorating.
Served at 10–12 °C , it pairs well with grilled cod with herb butter, goat cheese, or seafood. It's also perfectly fine on its own as a summer aperitif on the patio.
