Dry GIN-seng 0.5L

The Dry GIN-seng from Dr. Jaglas is an artisanal juniper spirit with 50% vol — thus it falls into the category of Navy Strength gins, which also come through clearly in cocktails due to their higher alcohol content. The base is a 5-fold distilled wheat alcohol in which fresh juniper berries and earthy ginseng roots are macerated together.

The recipe is based on the historical Spiritus Juniperi from the German Pharmacopoeia of 1872 — a time when juniper spirits were still produced according to clear artisanal standards. Dr. Jaglas has consistently implemented this approach: no added sugar, no compromises on the raw material.

In the glass, the gin shows the typical juniper sharpness of the Navy style, supplemented by the slightly bitter, earthy depth of the ginseng root. The interplay of both botanicals remains clear and without distraction by sweetening additives. Drinking temperature: well chilled, 6–8 °C. Neat over ice, with a high-quality, dry tonic water, or as a base for classic cocktails like Gimlet or Negroni — anywhere a gin with backbone is required.
