About William Grant & Sons

William Grant & Sons –
five generations of distilling craft from Dufftown

William Grant & Sons is one of the few spirits companies that has remained entirely in family hands since its founding in 1887. William Grant built the first distillery in Dufftown, in the middle of the Scottish Speyside, with his own hands – and thus laid the foundation for what is now the largest independent whisky producer in Scotland. Five generations later, Glenn Gordon, great-great-grandson of the founder, continues to lead the company.

What this means: no corporate logic, no pressure from quarterly figures. Instead, distilleries that work at their own rhythm – Glenfiddich since 1887, The Balvenie since 1892, Kininvie since 1990, Ailsa Bay since 2009. Each with its own character, its own copper still, its own maturation cellar. In addition, Hendrick's Gin, which expanded the portfolio in 1999 with an unusual botanical composition of cucumber and rose.

At Vinoscout you will find a selection from this portfolio – from classic Speyside whiskies with notes of honey, dried fruits and oak to Hendrick's with its cool, floral character. All products stand for what has distinguished William Grant & Sons for over 135 years: craft with attitude.
