Crème de Cassis de Dijon 0.5L

Crème de Cassis de Dijon from Gabriel Boudier is a fruit liqueur made from black currants: deep dark, fruit-focused, and the classic base ingredient for a Kir.

"Crème de Cassis de Dijon" is a protected designation of origin, comparable to Champagne or Cognac. Only a cassis that is produced in Dijon according to the strict rules of cassis production may bear this name. The house of Gabriel Boudier has stood for this liqueur from Burgundy for more than 100 years. It is made from the extract of black currants macerated in alcohol.

In the glass, it appears deep dark. In the nose and mouth, ripe black currant dominates, sweet and with fresh fruit acidity. For a Kir, mix it with dry white wine; for a Kir Royal, with Crémant or Champagne. It also goes well over vanilla ice cream or as a fruit note in desserts. Serve well chilled.
