Côte de Beaune-Villages AC 0.75L

A classic Burgundy that shows the strength of the Côte de Beaune-Villages appellation: elegant Pinot Noir with Burgundian precision, vinified dry and focused on finesse.

Joseph Drouhin is one of the most well-known négociant houses of the Côte d'Or. Based in Beaune since 1880, the house works with sites from the entire Côte de Beaune and is known for a stylistically consistent, straightforward Burgundy style — little extraction, much expression of origin. The Côte de Beaune-Villages appellation encompasses several municipalities south of Beaune and typically provides lighter, aromatically fine red wines.

In the glass, the typical character of Pinot Noir from this part of Burgundy is revealed: aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and a subtle earthy undertone, such as dried leaves or light forest floor. The body is slender, the tannins silky and restrained, the acidity fresh and invigorating — the interplay makes the wine light-footed without being arbitrary.

Best served at 14–16 °C. Pairs with poultry in cream sauce, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, or an aged goat cheese. It also makes a good figure as an uncomplicated companion to a simple weeknight dinner.
