Corton Bressandes AC Grand Cru 0.75L

Corton Bressandes belongs to the most renowned sites of the Côte de Beaune — a Grand Cru that grows on calcareous clay soil below the Corton hill and brings Pinot Noir to its most concentrated, structured form. Joseph Drouhin, one of the most traditional Maisons in Burgundy, has managed this plot for decades with the goal of letting the site speak instead of the cellar.

In the glass, a deep garnet red appears. The nose opens with aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and a hint of candied violets — underneath an earthy, slightly mineral layer that is typical for the Bressandes. On the palate, dense fruit flesh, firmly integrated tannins, and a lively acidity that gives the wine length and tension. The finish is long, with an aftertaste of clove and damp forest floor.

Best served at 16–18 °C. Pairs with wild boar rack, braised lamb shank, or a matured Époisses. Anyone who opens it should give it time in the decanter — at least 45 minutes so that the aromas can fully unfold.
