Vineyards planted in the 16th century by the landowner Nicolas de Blois formed the foundation. In the 17th century, the chateaux and the vineyards passed into the possession of Marshal d'Ornano, Governor of Guyenne and Mayor of Bordeaux. After that, it remained in the hands of noblemen and aristocrats until Lorraine Cordier acquired the winery in 1999 and implemented her vision of a Medoc wine. She invested a lot of time and money to make the vineyards some of the best in the Medoc. Today, her sister Nancy manages the winery.
