Clos de la Roche Grand Cru AC Grand Cru 0.75L
Clos de la Roche is one of the great sites of the Côte de Nuits — a Grand Cru that shows the strength of Pinot Noir on calcareous shell limestone soil. François Feuillet vinifies a dry Burgundy from this monopoly-like climat that embodies the typical tension of the Morey-Saint-Denis appellation: depth without heaviness, structure without harshness.
On the nose, the wine shows dark cherry, cassis, and a fine undergrowth aroma that is characteristic of ripe Pinot Noir sites of the Côte de Nuits. On the palate, it presents itself with silky, firmly integrated tannins, lively acidity, and a long, mineral-influenced finish with notes of lavender and earth. The texture is dense but never opulent — rather cool and precise.
Serve the wine at 16–17 °C, preferably after a short decanting time of 30 to 45 minutes. It goes well with game dishes like venison fillet with juniper sauce, with duck breast with beetroot, or with a mature Époisses. Those who drink it pure get a Burgundy that does not hide the seriousness of its terroir.
