Cheval des Andes Mendoza 0.75L

A red wine that connects two wine worlds: Château Cheval Blanc from Bordeaux and the high-altitude terroir of Mendoza have jointly brought Cheval des Andes to life — one of the most renowned collaborations in South America.

The grapes come from Las Compuertas in Luján de Cuyo as well as from Paraje Altamira, two of the most respected sites in Mendoza at the foot of the Andes. The high altitude ensures cool nights, which sharpen the aromatics and preserve the acidity. In the glass, the Cabernet Sauvignon shows blackberry, blackcurrant and dried herbs, underpinned by a fine cedar note. The tannins are dense but polished, the finish long and mineral with a hint of graphite.

Best served at 16–18 °C. Pairs with braised lamb shank, beef fillet with a herb crust or aged Manchego. A wine for special evenings — or as a gift that leaves an impression.
