Château Peyrabon

Château Peyrabon
Château Peyrabon is a classic Médoc red wine from the Haut-Médoc, which shows what Bordeaux in its traditional form is all about: structured, rich in tannins, with long aging potential.
The estate is located in Saint-Sauveur in the Haut-Médoc and has belonged to the Babeau family since 2000, who also manage Château La Fleur Peyrabon in Pauillac. The vineyard covers approximately 50 hectares on gravelly-clay soils – typical for this appellation, which borders the great Pauillac vineyards. The wine is a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc, and is aged in French oak barriques.
In the glass, it displays aromas of blackcurrant, cedarwood, and a hint of graphite. The palate is medium-bodied with well-integrated tannins, lively acidity, and a long, slightly spicy finish. A typical Haut-Médoc that will gain further complexity with a few years of cellaring.
Serving suggestion: Decant now (approx. 45 minutes) or store until 2030. Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Pairs well with herb-crusted rack of lamb, entrecôte, or aged cheddar.
