Château Malescot Saint-Exupéry is a classic Margaux Grand Cru Classé with finesse, power, and a very elegant character. As a 3rd Grand Cru Classé from 1855, it embodies the fusion of Cabernet Sauvignon structure and Merlot smoothness, supported by small, refined proportions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, which lend it depth and playfulness.

In the glass, it displays a deep, dark ruby ​​red with fine garnet reflections. The nose is very typical of Margaux: cassis, ripe cherry, a touch of blackberry, along with floral nuances, cedar, tobacco, and a light mineral note reminiscent of the gravelly Médoc soils. The oak aging is noticeable but remains elegant, acting more as a frame than a backdrop.

On the palate, Château Malescot Saint-Exupéry is dense yet exceptionally refined, with fine, silky tannins, a good balance between fruit and acidity, and a long, rounded finish with notes of wild berries, light spice, and a hint of chocolate. At around 13.5–14.5% ABV, it pairs ideally with premium roast beef or lamb, game dishes, or a fine, mature cheese, and is a Bordeaux where elegance and vibrancy are not mutually exclusive.
