Château La Serre

Château La Serre
Château La Serre embodies what Saint-Émilion is all about: depth without heaviness, fruit with a mineral backbone. A wine that honestly reflects its vintage.
The estate is situated on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, one of the most prestigious terroirs on the Right Bank. Monsieur d'Arfeuille and his team manage the château with the aim of capturing the natural balance of the soil in the bottle – without manipulation, without exaggeration. The blend is based on Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc, as is typical for the finest vineyards of Saint-Émilion.
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red color. The nose offers aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and a hint of graphite – the mineral backbone that has defined this place for generations. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that lends the wine tension and length. The finish is lingering, with notes of cedar and lavender.
Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Drinking window: now until 2030, with a decanting time of at least 30 minutes. Pairs well with herb-crusted lamb loin , braised beef, or mature Comté cheese.
