Château des Tours Brouilly
Brouilly is the largest of the ten Beaujolais crus – and Château des Tours is one of the wineries that show what Gamay can really do in this location: not a light drinking wine, but a red wine with substance and length.
The vineyard is located directly at the foot of Mont Brouilly and is managed by the Ravier family. The vines grow on volcanic bluestone (sienite), a rock that gives the Gamay a mineral depth rarely found in other parts of Beaujolais.
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red color. The nose offers aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and a hint of violet, underpinned by a subtle earthy note. On the palate, it is fruity and juicy, with pleasantly soft tannins and a lively acidity that keeps the wine light-footed despite its density. The finish is medium-long, with a slightly mineral note.
Serving temperature 14–16 °C. Pairs well with grilled lamb, entrecôte, mushroom risotto, or a hearty charcuterie board. Drinking window: now until 2027.

Château des Tours is one of the quiet secrets of the southern Rhône. Behind the name is the Reynaud family – winemakers since 1935, today represented by Emmanuel Reynaud, who also manages the legendary Château Rayas.
From the Vacqueyras and Côtes du Rhône appellations come wines that do not need a big stage. They impress with depth, calm, and a naturalness that is rarely found today. Red or white – every sip tells of soils that the family has known and understood for generations.
