Chateau d'Astros Rosé Cotes de Provence Amour
The Emotion from Domaine de Masques captivates with its citrus and exotic fruit aromas. Elegant and full-bodied, this rosé wine culminates in a long, mineral finish. The grapes are harvested in September. They are destemmed without crushing and placed directly into the press. The winemaker employs a cold fermentation process, allowing the grape juices to develop a subtle aromatic palette of fresh and exotic fruits during their alcoholic fermentation. The resulting wines are clarified, filtered, and bottled at the beginning of the year. The entire conversion process takes place away from oxygen (using neutral gas) to preserve the optimal aromatic potential of the juices. Thanks to this protection, the addition of antioxidants is used sparingly, enabling winemaker Carl Mestdagh to offer a wine with a low sulfite content.

Domaine des Masques – a place seemingly untouched by time. 550 meters above sea level, on the Cengle plateau, sheltered by the Sainte-Victoire mountain range. The name comes from the Provençal word for witch – medicinal plants, once used by herbalists, have grown here for generations. 195 hectares, only 20 of which are vineyards. The rest: olive groves, lavender fields, garrigue. No pesticides, no artificial fertilizers. Carl and Sophie Mestdagh cultivate the estate with respect for tradition and nature – together with oenologist Yves Cuilleron. In the cellar: immediate cooling, no oxidation. The result: fresh, aromatic wines. Provence as it should be.
