Château Clinet By Clinet

Château Clinet By Clinet
By Clinet is the second wine of Château Clinet – more approachable in style, but clearly in origin: Pomerol, right bank, dominated by Merlot on clay soils.
Château Clinet is among the most prestigious estates in Pomerol. The vineyard sits atop one of the plateau's highest points, with deep clay and gravel soils that impart a fleshy structure and rich, dark fruit character to the Merlot. By Clinet is produced from younger vines and batches not used in the Grand Vin – typical of Bordeaux second wines, reflecting the estate's style without the price tag of the flagship wine.
In the glass, it displays aromas of blueberry, dark cherry, and blackcurrant, underpinned by a hint of violet and cedar. The tannins are ripe and rounded, the mouthfeel velvety with a medium body. The finish is warm, with lingering dark fruit.
Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Pairs well with braised beef, duck legs with lentils, or mature Camembert. Drinking window: now until approximately 2028.
