Château Carignan

A classic Bordeaux right bank wine with the typical weight and aromatic density that characterize Premières Côtes de Bordeaux. Château Carignan is located south of Bordeaux directly on the banks of the Garonne River — a winery with a long tradition in this underrated appellation.

In the glass, it displays a dark ruby color with violet reflections. The nose offers blackberry and blackcurrant, underpinned by cocoa and a subtle spice note—pepper and cinnamon. On the palate, concentrated but not aggressive tannins, medium to full body, a fleshy texture, and a long finish with a light smokiness.

Best served between 16 and 18 °C , ideally decanted an hour beforehand. Pairs well with entrecôte with herb butter, braised lamb shoulder, or a mature Cantal. Also a solid choice to accompany a cheese board with robust varieties.
