Chardonnay Geisberg QW Palatinate 0.75L

Chardonnay Geisberg QW Palatinate 0.75L
A Chardonnay that shows what the Palatinate can do with this Burgundy specialty: dry-vinified, with a clear origin and no makeup.
The Wageck Pfaffmann winery is one of the reliable addresses in the southern Palatinate. The Geisberg is a limestone-rich site with a pebble content — exactly the terroir that gives Chardonnay tension and minerality instead of drowning it in fullness and butter.
In the glass, the wine shows aromas of yellow apple, ripe pear, and a hint of white blossoms. The acidity is present but integrated — not a heavyweight, but a wine with pull and length. The finish remains salty-mineral, which directly reflects the pebble-rich soils of the Geisberg.
Well-chilled to 10–12 °C, it pairs well with asparagus with hollandaise sauce, fried char, or a creamy risotto with herbs. It also makes a good impression as an aperitif with some aged hard cheese.
