Chapelle-Chambertin AC Grand Cru 0.75L
Chapelle-Chambertin is one of the nine Grands Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin — a vineyard that stands out even within the dense landscape of the Côte de Nuits. Domaine Trapet Père & Fils has cultivated its parcels here for generations, practicing biodynamic viticulture: the soils are treated as a living system, not as mere production areas.
In the glass, this Pinot Noir displays the typical character of the Chambertin cluster: dark cherry and plum, underpinned by violets and a mineral quality reminiscent of damp forest floor and graphite. The palate is medium-bodied with silky, well-integrated tannins—no harshness, but a clear structure. The finish is long, slightly spicy, with a hint of licorice.
Drinking window: now until 2035+, most expressive with aeration or after several years of cellaring. Serving temperature 16–17 °C. At the table, it pairs well with game birds, venison with red cabbage, or a mature Époisses.
