Chambertin AC Grand Cru 0.75L

Chambertin — one of the most famous names in Burgundy, a Grand Cru that has been considered the benchmark for great Pinot Noir for centuries. Domaine Trapet Père & Fils cultivates their parcels in this legendary site biodynamically, with a care that you can feel in the glass.

The Trapet family is one of the oldest addresses in Gevrey-Chambertin and has been working according to biodynamic principles for decades — Demeter-certified, with deep respect for the soil. Their vines stand on the characteristic limestone-clay mixture of the Chambertin, which gives the wine its unmistakable minerality and structure.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red. The nose opens with aromas of dark cherry, violets, and a hint of forest floor — complex, but never heavy. On the palate, fine, silky tannins, a lively acid structure, and a long, spicy-mineral finish with notes of licorice and undergrowth. A wine with depth and elegance that shows Pinot Noir at its highest level of expression.

Best served at 16–18 °C, ideally decanted an hour before pouring. Pairs excellently with venison fillet with wild mushrooms, braised duck, or ripe Époisses.
