Chablis Le Classique AOP
Typical Chablis! It perfectly reflects the fruity character of the Chardonnay grape; the acidity is delicate, supported by green apple and citrus aromas; on the palate, fine fruit and a touch of white blossom; a slightly salty minerality on the finish. At the beginning of the 20th century, Cléophas Tremblay was one of the first to believe in the great potential and successful future of Chablis. Through many years of hard work, he built his own 3.5-hectare vineyard. His son continued to run the winery very successfully. When his son's two daughters inherited the estate, the vineyard area had already reached 25 hectares. Joëlle Tremblay inherited half of the family winery and continued to run it together with her husband, Pascal Bouchard. He also owns some vineyards in Chablis. Together, they built an outstanding winery in the 1980s. Pascal and Joëlle's two sons have also dedicated themselves to the family winery and support their parents. Under the direction of Romain, the elder of the sons, the vineyards are being converted to organic viticulture. No artificial pesticides are used, and only purely organic fertilizers. Organic certification is the goal for the coming years. Their premise: preserving tradition. Their secret: perfect knowledge of the Chablis terroir. The result: first-class wines.
