Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos AC

The Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos from Joseph Drouhin is one of the most expressive white wines of Chablis: a dry Chardonnay with power, tension, and great depth, without appearing heavy.

Les Clos is the largest and most famous of the seven Grand Cru vineyards of Chablis. The chalky soil noticeably shapes the wine, hence the clear minerality. Maison Joseph Drouhin, a traditional Burgundian house, is bottling the 2023 vintage here.

In the glass, the wine appears light yellow with golden reflections. On the nose, white flowers meet candied orange zest, citrus fruits, and fresh herbs. On the palate, it convinces with a powerful structure, intense fruit, and a fresh, creamy acidity carried by a salty-mineral line. The finish remains long.

Serve it at 13–14 °C and in large glasses so that the spectrum of aromas can unfold. It goes well with pan-fried sole with truffle risotto, veal, fine poultry, or medium-firm cheese.
