Campaner Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva Alto Adige DOC 0.75L

A classic South Tyrolean Cabernet with the depth one expects from a Riserva: structured, dark-fruited, with a clear line.

The Kellerei Kaltern is one of the best-known cooperatives in South Tyrol and has been vinifying the Cabernet sites around Lake Kaltern for decades. The Campaner Riserva comes from the Alto Adige DOC area — a region where the alpine climate ensures distinct acidity and freshness, while the hillside location and the intense South Tyrolean sunshine ensure the ripeness of the berries.

In the glass, the wine glows in dark ruby red. The nose shows ripe blackberry, sour cherry, and dark chocolate, complemented by cassis and a subtle hint of cedar. On the palate, the wine is dry and full-bodied, with firm but ripe tannins and a fresh acid structure that carries the long finish.

Drinking temperature 17–18 °C. Pairs with braised rack of lamb, venison roast with cranberries, or aged mountain cheese.
