Cabernet Sauvignon Terre Siciliane IGT

A Cabernet Sauvignon from Sicily that combines the classic Bordeaux grape variety with Mediterranean warmth: powerful, but clearly structured.

Murgo cultivates the wine on the vineyards of the Tenuta Gelso Bianco. The vines take root in clay and limestone soils, which give the wine structure and protect it from heavy fullness. The result is a Cabernet with southern ripeness that does not hide its origin.

On the nose, redcurrants and dark cherries appear, accompanied by spicy notes of pepper and tobacco. On the palate, the wine feels powerful and structured; the tannins are ripe and grippy, and the finish is long.

It is best to serve it at 16 to 18 °C. It pairs well with lamb chops with rosemary, braised beef, pasta with game ragout, or aged Pecorino. It also keeps up with a barbecue evening with steak and baked vegetables.
