Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Double Magnum 3.0L

Brunello in a large format: The double magnum holds 3 liters and brings a dry Sangiovese Grosso to the table that is made for large dinner parties. In the glass, it glows in ruby to garnet red.

The Pian delle Vigne winery is located six kilometers southwest of Montalcino in Tuscany and bears the name of a 19th-century railway station. The estate is associated with the Antinori family. The wine is made from Sangiovese Grosso, the grape variety upon which every Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is based.

Sangiovese from Montalcino typically stands for sour cherry and plum, accompanied by spicy notes of tobacco and leather. On the palate, the wine is dry, the acidity is firm, and the tannins are powerful and perceptible right into the finish.

Decant it before serving and pour it at 16–18 °C. It pairs well with Bistecca alla fiorentina, braised game, or long-aged Pecorino. The double magnum is suitable for celebrations with many guests and as a prestigious gift.
