Brunello di Montalcino DOCG - Organic

Brunello di Montalcino is one of Italy's great red wines — Collosorbo shows why: powerful and at the same time of rare finesse, as oenologist Attilio Pagni consistently strives for at this estate.

The Tenuta Collosorbo is located south of Montalcino in the Orcia Valley; the vineyards extend at an altitude of 200 to 400 meters on the southern slope. The old castle of the Ciacci family houses a well-equipped cellar where the wines are aged in large 50-liter oak barrels. Around 32 of the total 130 hectares are planted with Sangiovese — care over quantity, farmed according to organic principles.

In the glass, the Brunello shows complex aromas of dark cherry and dried forest berries, plus tobacco, leather, and herbs. On the palate, it appears powerful and profound; the tannins are silky and well-integrated. The finish is long: dark chocolate, balsamic notes, and a mineral depth that keeps the wine in memory for a long time.

Served at 16–18 °C, it pairs with braised wild boar, Bistecca alla Fiorentina, or aged Pecorino di Pienza.
