Braide Grande Pinot Grigio DOC Friuli-Venezia Giulia 0.75L

Pinot Grigio from Friuli can be a serious wine — the Braide Grande from Livon is a good example of this. The grapes grow in the eponymous vineyard near Ruttars in Dolegna del Collio, where marl and sandstone soils provide structure and minerality.

Livon is one of the established family businesses in Collio, a hilly zone on the Slovenian border known for its aromatically precise white wines. The mild climate, moderated by Adriatic winds and the Alps to the north, allows for slow ripening with high aromatic intensity.

In the glass, the Braide Grande shows typical Collio characteristics: white peach, pear, and a hint of almond, plus a fresh, well-integrated acidity and a dry, slightly mineral finish. Not a heavy, alcohol-driven Pinot Grigio — but a lively, drinkable white wine with a true profile of origin.

Pairs well with seafood risotto, grilled sea bass, or a light goat cheese. Drinking temperature: 10–12 °C.
