Braide Alte IGT Venezia Giulia 0.75L

The Braide Alte from Livon is a white cuvée wine from Collio, one of Italy's most demanding white wine sites — right on the Slovenian border, where the Adriatic climate meets the coolness of the Julian Alps.

Livon manages the single-vineyard Braide Alte in Ruttars on soils of marl and clay, which give the wine a distinct mineral imprint. The Chardonnay grows here in a site that the winery has cultivated as a flagship for decades — the combination of daytime heat and cool nights ensures slow ripening and distinct aromatics.

In the glass, ripe yellow apple, white flowers, and a hint of hazelnut appear, carried by a taut, well-integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is dense and voluminous, the finish long with a fine mineral note that recalls the marly subsoil.

Recommendation: Serve at 10–12 °C, with seafood risotto, fried sea bream, or a ripe fresh goat cheese.
