Bolla Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Bolla Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
Amarone needs time – and Bolla takes it. The Classico from Valpolicella shows what happens when Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella are first dried on wooden racks and then mature for three years in Slavonian oak barrels.
Bolla is one of the oldest wine producers in the region, with roots in Soave and Valpolicella dating back to the late 19th century. The Classico comes from the historical heartland of Valpolicella – Negrar, Marano, Fumane – where the limestone and clay soils give the wines a distinctive basic structure.
In the glass: dark ruby red with garnet highlights. On the nose, sour cherry, dried plum, and a hint of citrus peel, along with roasted aromas and dark chocolate from long barrel aging. On the palate, full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a warm, lingering finish.
Serving temperature: 16–18 °C, ideally decant one hour before pouring. Drinking window: now until 2030.
Pairs well with: braised beef shoulder, venison ragù, risotto al Amarone or mature pecorino stagionato.
