Bellevoye Orange 40% vol Finition Rum Whisky from France 0.7L

Bellevoye Orange is a French Triple Malt Whisky with a rum cask finish: soft, fruity, and with character, but without harshness. It comes in the bottle at 40% vol.

Behind the label is Les Bienheureux. The whisky matures for three to five years in French oak, followed by post-maturation in rum casks stored in cellars near Cognac. Hence the mixture of grain spice and tropical sweetness.

In the nose, toasted grain and bourbon vanilla meet sweet spices, exotic fruits, caramelized banana, and cocoa bean. On the palate, it starts creamy and honey-like; the middle gains strength without becoming heavy. In the finish, tropical wood and macadamia nut remain, soft and long.

Recommendation: neat at room temperature to bring out the fruit notes, or as a base for a long drink with ginger beer and an orange zest.
