Barossa Shiraz WO Barossa Valley Samuel´s Collection

A powerful, dry Shiraz from the Barossa Valley that shows why this region in South Australia is considered one of the great addresses for the grape variety. The Samuel's Collection from Yalumba stands for wines with a clear statement of origin.

Yalumba was founded in 1849 by Samuel Smith and is considered Australia's oldest family winery. The Collection bears his name. The Barossa Valley is known for warm summers and old Shiraz vines that produce dense, color-intensive wines. The designation WO Barossa Valley (Wine of Origin) assigns the grapes to the vineyard.

Typical for Barossa Shiraz are aromas of blackberry, black plum, and dark chocolate, often accompanied by a spicy note of black pepper. Powerful and full-bodied on the palate, with noticeable tannins and a warm, lingering finish.

Recommendation: With grilled beef steak, leg of lamb with rosemary, or slowly braised ribs. A strong hard cheese also goes well with it. Serve it at 16 to 18 °C, preferably in a large glass.
