Barolo Falletto Vigna Le Rocche DOCG Piedmont

A Barolo from one of the most famous sites in Serralunga d'Alba: The Falletto Vigna Le Rocche from Falletto, the winery of Bruno Giacosa, combines structure with clear freshness and shows how firm and precise Nebbiolo can be.

The single vineyard Le Rocche is one of the most renowned crus in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba in Piedmont. The name Bruno Giacosa has stood for the classic Barolo style for decades, where origin and site are in the foreground. This wine carries the DOCG designation of origin Barolo and is vinified as a single-varietal Nebbiolo.

On the nose, red berries, cherry and violets open up, accompanied by fine spice notes. On the palate, the wine feels firm and elegant, the tannins are present and fine-grained, the acidity remains fresh and gives the wine pull right into the finish. A Barolo with classic stature that relies more on precision than on power.

Recommendation: Serve it at 16 to 18 °C, preferably after decanting briefly. It pairs with braised beef, veal cheeks, tajarin with white truffle or mature hard cheese.
