Barolo 'Cannubi' DOCG - Organic

Cannubi is one of Barolo's most renowned single vineyards – and Chiara Boschis is one of the few producers who cultivate this terroir herself. Firm tannins, earthy depth, and a long finish: typical Nebbiolo from Piedmont, just as it should be.

Boschis comes from a winemaking family that has been producing wine for eight generations. In 1981, her family acquired a roughly 400-year-old estate with 2.5 hectares of vineyards in the Cannubi vineyard – one of the most prestigious single vineyards in the entire Barolo region. As one of the first women in this circle, alongside names like Altare, Sandrone, and Scavino, she played a decisive role in shaping the modern Barolo style. Her first barrel-aged Barolo earned her three glasses in the Gambero Rosso guide in 1990. Since then, her winery has been among the absolute top producers in Piedmont. Around 10,000 bottles are produced annually – pruning, harvesting, barrel aging: all done by hand.

In the glass, the Cannubi displays dried leaves, black tea, and orange peel, along with rose petals and a delicate herbal note. The tannin structure is firm but smooth – dense yet supple. The finish is long and spicy.

Serving temperature 17–18 °C , drinking window until 2035+. Pairs well with Brasato al Barolo, braised wild boar or mature Parmigiano Reggiano.
