Barbaresco Asili DOCG

The Barbaresco Asili from Falletto di Bruno Giacosa shows Nebbiolo from its fine, precise side: It does not appear massive, but focused, with a clear structure and plenty of pull.

Asili is considered one of the great sites of Barbaresco; the vines grow on calcareous and clayey soils near the town of Barbaresco. The Falletto winery stands for the style of Bruno Giacosa, a defining figure of Piedmont, and for wines that prioritize clarity over power.

In the glass, the wine glows in a clear garnet red. On the nose, you will find red cherry, rose petals, and subtle spice notes, plus mineral and slightly earthy hints. On the palate, it is dry, precise, and balanced; the tannins are finely interwoven, the texture elegant. The finish remains long and harmonious.

Recommendation: Serve it at 16 to 18 °C in a large glass. It pairs well with tajarin with butter and white truffle, braised veal, rabbit with rosemary, or mature Parmigiano Reggiano.
