Aus den Lagen Riesling dry QW VDP Gutswein 0.75L

The “Aus den Lagen” Riesling from Weingut A. Christmann is the entry into the site concept of one of the most famous VDP wineries in the Palatinate — and shows what Palatinate Riesling can do when it is blended from several sites into a harmonious whole.

Steffen Christmann, long-time VDP president, manages his vineyards in Gimmeldingen and Königsbach biodynamically (Demeter-certified). The “Aus den Lagen” series gathers grapes from various Christmann sites that are not individually vinified as local wines or Grosses Gewächs — an honest cross-section of the winery, vinified dry and varietal.

In the glass, the Riesling shows the typical Palatinate aromatics: ripe citrus fruit, a hint of white peach, plus the mineral line characteristic of Christmann. The acidity is present but integrated — not a sharp cut, but an animating play that keeps the finish long and fresh.

Good with asparagus with hollandaise sauce, fried sea bream, or a spicy goat cheese. Drinking temperature: 10–12 °C.
