The Arbre Negre (Catalan for "black tree") from Vinos para ti (Spanish for "wine for you") is an interesting cuvée of Callet, Tempranillo, Merlot, and Cabernet from the sunny island of Mallorca, which has matured for 6 months in oak barrels.
In the glass, it shows a shiny, garnet-red color. Its aromas remind one of spices such as clove and pepper, but above all of ripe wild berries.
In the mouth, it is very tasty and also reminds one there of ripe wild berries such as currants and blackberries. At the same time, it appears spicy and shows a beautiful acidity.

How does the Arbre Negre taste?
Dry, spicy, and fruit-forward: ripe currants and blackberries, plus clove and pepper. Six months in oak barrels give it structure, the acidity remains present and keeps the whole thing lively.
What does the Arbre Negre pair best with?
It works well with hearty meat — leg of lamb, roast veal, braised beef cheeks, or a good steak. It also makes a good impression with chorizo and savory tapas.
At what temperature do I serve it?
Best at 16–18 °C. If it's too warm, it loses its spice; if it's too cold, tannin and alcohol (14.5% ABV) feel rougher than necessary — a short time in the fridge is often enough.
Is this a Mallorcan grape variety or classic varieties?
Both. The cuvée combines Callet — an autochthonous grape variety of Mallorca — with Tempranillo, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. This gives the wine its regional character while maintaining an international framework.
How long does an opened bottle last?
With a vacuum pump or wine stopper, it keeps well for 2–3 days in the fridge after opening. Let it come to serving temperature briefly before serving.
