Marqués de Griñón Family Estates

Marqués de Griñón represents something unparalleled in the Spanish wine world: a pioneering spirit with centuries-old roots.

Carlos Falcó, fifth Marqués de Griñón, began experimenting with modern winemaking on his estate, Dominio de Valdepusa – a family domain since 1292 – in the 1970s. In 2002, Valdepusa became the first winery in Spain to be awarded the coveted Pago classification: the country's highest quality rating.

The result is not mass-produced wines – but distinctive wines from the heart of Castile. And those who look closely will also discover fine olive oils from the same terroir.
