Constantia Glen – nestled between Table Mountain and Flakkenberg, at the western end of the Constantia Valley. Constantia is South Africa's smallest and oldest wine region – wine has been produced here since 1685. Cool climate, proximity to the Atlantic, slow ripening. You can taste it. 30 hectares of vineyards, divided between white and red grape varieties. From these come two white wines: Sauvignon Blanc and Two (with Sémillon). Two red wines: Three (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc) and Five (five grape varieties). All grapes are estate-grown, all vinified and bottled on-site. Constantia Glen – elegant, complex wines with character.

Atlantic breeze meets Table Mountain
Constantia Glen is located at the western end of the Constantia Valley, wedged between Table Mountain and Constantiaberg – where the Atlantic determines the climate and the grapes ripen slowly and evenly. Constantia is South Africa's oldest wine-growing region; wine has been produced here since 1685. You can feel this history in the wines: no rush, no excess, but precision.
White and red varieties grow on 30 hectares of their own vineyards, which are exclusively pressed and bottled on-site. The range is deliberately kept small: Sauvignon Blanc and Two – a white wine with a Sémillon component – represent the cool, mineral side of the estate. Three, a Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, and Five, a blend of five grape varieties, show how multi-layered red wine from Constantia can be.
What all four wines have in common: grapes from their own vineyard, no purchased grapes, no compromise. The cool Atlantic climate ensures freshness and length – qualities that are rarely found in this combination, and which make Constantia Glen one of the most interesting addresses in South Africa.
