Tenuta Nuova Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG Tuscany 3.0L

The Tenuta Nuova from Casanova di Neri is one of the most famous single-vineyard wines of Brunello — and for good reason. The Tenuta Nuova is one of the most significant sites in Montalcino, located in the southeastern part of the Denominazione, where the soil consists of galestro and clay and the summers are hot and the nights cool. Giacomo Neri manages the winery with a precision that has positioned the Brunello di Montalcino at an international level.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose opens with ripe cherries, dried violets, and a hint of tobacco, underpinned by fine herbal notes and a subtle wood spice. On the palate, the Sangiovese is firmly structured: dense, ripe tannins, lively acidity, and a long, mineral finish with hints of cedarwood and earth. The 3.0-liter magnum bottling slows down maturation and preserves the fruit for longer.

It is best served at 16–18 °C, after sufficient decanting time of at least one hour. Classically with Bistecca alla Fiorentina, braised wild boar, or mature Pecorino di Pienza — but it also cuts an excellent figure with a risotto with porcini mushrooms.
