Saint Romain AOP 0.75L

Saint-Romain lies at a higher altitude than most of the Côte de Beaune appellations—and you can taste it in the glass. The Chardonnay from Maison Joseph Drouhin showcases the cool, mineral-driven side of Burgundy: firm acidity, clear fruit, and no hint of overripeness.

Drouhin has been one of Burgundy's most trusted wineries since 1880. The vineyards in Saint-Romain are rooted in argillaceous-calcareous soil—a combination of limestone and clay that gives the wine its characteristic freshness and minerality. The altitude slows down ripening, extends the growing season, and contributes to the vibrant acidity that distinguishes Saint-Romain from the lower-lying Côte de Beaune appellations.

In the glass, it displays a bright golden yellow. Aromas of white peach, citrus peel, and chalk, with a hint of elderflower. On the palate, it is elegant, with fresh acidity and a dry, slightly mineral finish. Not a heavy wine—one that impresses with its precision.

Best served at 10–12 °C . Pairs well with pike-perch or trout, goat cheese, or a simple roast chicken. Drinking window 2024–2028.
