Sanchez Romate, producer of the world-famous Brandy Cardenal Mendoza, is tradition you can touch. The bodega was founded in 1781 by Juan Sánchez de la Torre and is still family-owned today. Since then, top quality has been consistently produced using the latest technological standards, yet always remaining closely committed to the tradition of production. The house was therefore appointed a supplier to the British House of Lords in London in 1909 and an official supplier to the Pope in Rome in 1917.

The bodega is located in Jerez de la Frontera and owns its own vineyards with some very old vines. Sanchez Romate has been aging sherry for more than 200 years and, like hardly any other, can draw on rare, long-aged batches.

Sanchez Romate is now sharing this wealth with the world in small quantities. For several years, the bodega has been bottling old batches as Reserva Especial. We are fortunate to be able to offer you this wealth. The products in the Reserva Especial line have in some cases been aged for more than 20 years (Amontillado, Oloroso). They are incredibly dense and intense. Romate Reserva Especial is paradise for sherry lovers.
