The bouquet offers intense aromas of raisins, dates, and candied figs, accompanied by fine chocolate and a hint of roasted nuts; on the palate, it is opulent and velvety with a rich sweetness, notes of caramel, mocha, and ripe dried fruits; the finish is long and luscious with lingering nuances of honey and vanilla. Sanchez Romate, producer of the world-renowned Cardenal Mendoza brandy, embodies tradition. The bodega was founded in 1781 by Juan Sánchez de la Torre and remains family-owned to this day. Since then, it has consistently produced top-quality spirits using the latest technological standards, while remaining deeply committed to traditional methods. As a result, the house was appointed supplier to the British House of Lords in London in 1909 and to the Pope in Rome in 1917. The bodega is located in Jerez de la Frontera and owns its own vineyards, some with very old vines. Sanchez Romate has been producing sherry for over 200 years and, like few others, has access to rare, long-aged batches. Sanchez Romate now shares this wealth with the world in small quantities. For several years, the bodega has been bottling older batches as Reserva Especial. We are fortunate to be able to offer you this treasure. Some of the products in the Reserva Especial line are aged for more than 20 years (Amontillado, Oloroso). They are incredibly rich and intense. Romate Reserva Especial is paradise for sherry lovers.
